Stampin Up club April

the papers, ink, ribbon and stamp are all Stampin Up products. I had recently purchased the bird cage picture frame and thought I would put  it to use :)

Happy 80th Birthday Mom!

It was my mothers 80th birthday on March 29th

Here is the card and envelope that I had made for her. I will be giving it to her when we all get together this Saturday to celebrate her birthday.

One of the things that had been planned was for my mother to receive 80 birthday greetings. She actually received more than the 80 cards through mail or hand delivered. She was very thrilled to be receiving these cards over a 2 week period. She has no idea that there is a celebration coming up.

The plan is to display all the cards at the celebration. I am looking forward to see all those cards at one time!

Here we are at the end of March and I am just getting my post up.

Another stamp of the month from The {Stamps} of life

I am impressed that I am not at the deadline this time! the deadline is at midnight on the 15th of each month.

This stamp set was fun to play with. I took many photos trying to capture the wet look on the boots. I accomplished my task. I used a spray called goosebumps, love that stuff.

I am thinking that I will have to make a matching game for the children to play with. I am sure they will love it!

Tim Holtz 12 tags of 2013 February

Hello to all my followers !
I finally found the time to sneak my tag in while it is still February!

The idea was to make a Valentines day tag but valentines day has come and gone, so I made mine for a male  birthday card.

I really enjoyed colouring with the distress markers and then using a waterbrush. I am thinking that I will be doing this a little more often :)

I have always loved pinwheels and when Stephanie came out with this stamp set I was so EXCITED!!
Here is my card that I created using this stamp set.

I also used a couple of templates from Kiwi Lane Designs
This was the first time I have used them and they were fun to play with. I am sure that I will be ordering more in the future.

Tim Holtz 12 tags of 2013 January

Another year of tags with Mr Tim Holtz!

It was -43 c last night!!!
My craft room which happens to be in the basement has my fingers cold. But the chance of being able to play along again this year creating these tags has me all excited. I realize I am at the end of the month and just sneaking my tag in just before the deadline has been a trademark with me in a few things. I really hope to change that this year.

Stampin Up club January

Here we are our first club meeting for 2013!

Once again I am particapating in the card challenge and bringing it to class.

Here is my card
All products used were stampin up except the black buttons with the white thread. Hard to believe but no ink was used on this card.

I really surprised myself by having it finished a few days early. I am usually making it during quiet time on the day of the meeting !

hearts2diefor is the stamp of the month from The {Stamps} of life.

I really liked the size of hearts, easy to work with when making cards.
Here is my latest creation using this stamp set.

The papers used for the base is called crumb cake from SU. The printed papers came from a Kaisercraft 6x6 pad the line was called sweet nothings which was left over from last year. The flowers are Iamroses spritzed with moonshadow. The heart was stamped using SU pretty in pink ink then embossed with rangers holographic embossing powder. I wish I would have been able to capture the sparkle in the photo.
