CHA 2012 !!!!

We have arrived to attend  my first CHA!!

A  little info about the trip there
We arrived at the airport a bit early about 2 pm just to find out that our flight was delayed by 15 min. and then it went to 1/2 hr delay I was getting a little concerned, and then when it went to a 1 hr delay that is when I started to worry, I DID NOT  want to miss our connecting flight in Denver which would mean that I would probably miss my first workshop which was scheduled for 8:00 the next morning. Thank God that it went well. Both Cheryl and I had to hustle our butts and grab our luggage, go through customs, find the train that would take us to  terminal B and then grab our seat on the plane. No time to grab supper!! Once we landed in Los Angeles we had to wait for the Disney bus which would take us to our hotel in Anaheim, finally arriving  California time 11:30 (Saskatchewan time 1:30 am) VERY LONG DAY !!

The first day was full of workshops! I will have photos of the projects that I had made in the classes. It was a blast!  SUPER inky hands! LOL
I am off  to another class and I will post again soon.
Hope you all are having a great weekend!

12 tags of Christmas mounted

Hello everyone, I completed the display for all 12 tags!!!

I was wanting to display the tags that I had made, but hoping to come up with a system where I would be able to use the display again. I feel I accomplished it by painting a large canvas. Then attached hemp string using the Tim Holtz hitch fasteners, and then using hinge clips to hang the tags. I had decided the tags needed to be backed with black to help them  “POP”  glad I did. I don't think it shows up to well but the banner has a couple of loose folds which turned out great.
Hope someone can use this idea or as inspiration

Tim Holtz 12 tags of Christmas tag 12

The last and final under the wire deadline tag # 12!!!!
WHEW! that was a ton of fun! the first time that I have participated in doing Tim Holtz tags. I know that I want to do this next year.
This tag was a challenge but at the same time fun for me. I did not have the tissue paper that Mr. Tim used I created my own by stamping on white tissue paper then gluing to the background and also used it in making the flower! also the silver on the word wish and at the lower bottom there is some silver edging. Once again I made another substitute. I did not have a 6 x 12 sheet of foil I used a roll of silver tape. I think it worked great.

I hope that you have enjoyed the journey of my creating the 12 tags of Christmas. If there is any questions please ask.

I also want to thank you all for the WONDERFUL comments! I loved reading them.
Happy New Year to all!!

Just a note to let you know where I get most of my supplies.
there is a great online store called  Scrapn with Flair
plus I also had to make a couple of pop in visits to the local scrapbooking shops here :)
