Here we go! October's stamp club projects
First off, I would like to start with our sketch challenge Freshly Made Sketches 207
here is how mine turned out
Project #1
Timeless Elegance DSP
CASE'd (with video) from Stamp & Scrap with Frenchie
This was an easy card to make and the results are beautiful! The size of this card is the note size so it is a bit smaller than the usual A4 card.
Project #2
Festive Fireplace with Stockings
CASE'd from Stamp With Amy K
Another fun card that came together fairly easy. The white embossing sure helps with the colouring :)
Project #3
Watercolour Salt Technique
CASE'd (with video) from Stampin' On The Fly
This technique was a ton of fun. I think it turned out great! I really like EVERYTHING about this card.
There you go another month done and another one coming right up!
Talk to you soon!

another sympathy card
Unfortuanetly, it is true. The older we get, the more we need these type of cards.
Here is the latest one that I had to make.
I was looking for a clean and simple style this time. I really liked how it turned out. I had used the wink of stella glitter brush on the flowers to give it a bit of a pop. Hope you can see it.
Have a great weekend everyone!

Thanksgiving
It's Thanksgiving this weekend here in Canada. One of my sisters is hosting the traditional thanksgiving meal. I wanted to thank her with this card.
The background paper is from a used calendar. I tend to save SOME pages from calendars simply because I love the pictures. This one came in handy for this card.
The wheat and container were embossed with Liquid platinum, loved how it turned out. The background behind the wheat was made using the distress inks.
I am very pleased with how it turned out.
HAPPY THANKSGIVING!!

Hello
Hi everyone!
Here is my latest creation. I bought a "new to me" Tim Holtz die from a garage sale and wanted to use it asap. Here you can see how I used it.
The die is Courtyard and the frame surrounding the "lattice" is from Stampin up called deco labels, the same die I had used in a previous card. Love this die set. I also scored the lines to frame the deco label using my scoreboard. The rose was made using the Mcgill punch called floral petals and the leaves came from another new die that I had purchased awhile back called Garden greens another Tim Holtz die. The tiny flowers were a combination punched from a Stampin up punch and an ek success punch. Finally the "hello" sentiment is a die from Stampin up . Oh and on the butterfly I used variegated flakes! something I had purchased a long time ago and finally decided I should try it! I will definately use it again.
I will be back soon with another card
Have a great weekend!

my nephew's wedding card
I'm a little embarrassed to see that my last post was in feb!! not good!
I will have a few cards to post as soon as I take the photos and upload them :)
Here is the lastest card that I made.
My nephew Jason was just married this past weekend, here is the card I made for both him and his new wife Christy :)
The wedding colour was purple so that was a good starting point for me.
I hope to post another card soon.
take care

camera2stamp
Last months stamp of the month from Stamps of Life was called camera2stamp. What a cute little stamp set. Here is what I created using parts of the stamp set.
I placed two of the stamps together to create my background.
The large camera was stamped with embossing ink, then white embossing powder was used to bring out the camera on the black cardstock. The camera was cut out with one of the many dies that came with this set. I am not able to cut straight so you gotta love the dies that come with this set :)
I really like how it turned out.
Have a great Sunday!
