Painted Harvest in Water Colour

Hello,
I am here to share with you my attempt at water colouring. I used the Stampin' Up! stamp set called Painted Harvest which is a beautiful set.
The inks that I used were Crushed Curry, Cherry Cobbler, Garden Green and Early Espresso

Here is my masterpiece :)

I started off with a piece of watercolour paper and then I spritzed it with water. With my aqua painter, I picked up some Crushed Curry ink and spread it around on the wet paper while squeezing out a bit more water from my aqua painter. Once I was happy with it I added the Cherry Cobler ink in the same way. Once dried, I lightly flicked on some water drops to create those water splotches. I then used my scissors to distress the edges of the paper a bit. Love that look.

I stamped the flower onto another smaller piece of watercolour paper using those same two colours. Once dried I used the aqua painter to move the colours around a bit. I used a wee bit too much water oh well I still like it. I then hand cut the flower.

I played with the Garden Green ink on some wet watercolour paper once dried I then stamped the leaf images with the same ink. I used the leaf punch to punch out the leafs.

The sentiment came from the stamp set called Colorful Seasons.

I then matted the front onto a 4 3/4 x 4 piece of Cherry Cobbler card stock and then matted that onto the Crushed Curry card base.

Before popping the flower on, I added some gold metallic thread using a bit of tape, then added some pop dots to the flower to make it more dimensional. The leaves were glued into place as well as the sequins.

Well, that was a fun card to make. Hope you will give it a try.
